Hungry Boy's name is purely conjecture, as no official name has been released. This name will be used until an official name is released.

"So... hungry."

- The Hungry Boy to Aya

The Hungry Boy is one of the subjects of Alfred Drevis that Aya meets while exploring the Basement 3F.

Appearance[]

The Hungry Boy has a very malnourished and bruised appearance, his skin is colored light-blue, and his eyes sport a very tired look with bags underneath. He has spiky light-brown hair along with murky green eyes. He's wearing a rather worn-looking light-blue shirt with similarly matching brown pants that has a noticeable tear on the left leg. He also had dark-brown shoes.

In his original appearance, his skin had a purple tint to it, his hair was auburn-colored, and he wore a small torn blue vest instead. He eyes also weren't as tired-looking.

History[]

Prior to Mad Father[]

Not much is known about his past. His mother used to cook him either ham (in the original/2.02 version) or sausages (in the 2020 remake), which was his favorite meal. After she passed away, he was mostly ignored by everyone until he was taken in by Alfred Drevis.

However, things didn't improve for him. The other people Alfred took in were getting food, but not him. It can be presumed he eventually died of starvation and neglect rather than Alfred killing him.

During the events of Mad Father[]

As Aya tries to follow Maria, who went on ahead to try and rescue Alfred, Aya comes across the starving boy in the Basement 2F Cafeteria, who wasn't there during her initial visit to the room. Talking to him has him tell the young girl he's starving.

Heading into the next room, Aya decides to take some time from her quest to cook either ham (in the original/2.02 version) or a sausage (in the 2020 remake) for the young boy. Returning with plate in hand, she gives it to the boy, and he happily eats it, proclaiming it tastes just like how his mother makes it.

However, after finishing the meal, he claims that it might not have been exactly up to his mother's standards, but it was still good. He then thanks her, since he hasn't eaten anything in ages. When Aya points out that Maria tended to bring food down to the basement, he responds that he never got any, revealing that he was always unwanted and was of no use to anyone.

Before he leaves, he gives Aya a napkin as thanks before disappearing.

During the events of Blood Mode[]

He plays the exact same role he did in Normal Mode with no notable differences.

Trivia[]

  • In the original translation of the game, his wording implied that the ham he was eating tastes just like his mom, which would imply he was a cannibal. VGPerson confirms that this was a mistranslation, and corrected it in the 2.02 update and the 2020 remake.
